Business Workshops
Bookkeeping Workshop
In this workshop, I share a bookkeeping system I've been using to manage my business over the past 5+ years. It started as a homegrown system inputting my income and expenses into a spreadsheet and slowly grew to what it is today, an integrated system utilizing Google Forms & Sheets to make my bookkeeping much easier! I'm sharing this system in a 75 minute virtual workshop format where I talk through the system high-level and dig deeper into the specifics so you can customize it for yourself and walk away with how you can use it for your own small business. Each participant receives a Getting Started Guide to download all the necessary files needed to start using the system, access to ask questions live with me during the workshop, and a recording of the workshop afterwards. Please join me for a future workshop or join the waitlist so you know when I add new dates to the calendar. |
"Ceramics Business Success Through Systems & Analytics" Virtual Workshop
Wednesday, January 29th at 8pm via Zoom In this business focused workshop, I will cover topics all about how systems and analytics play a vital role in making my growing ceramics business work for me. Attendees will hear examples of what I likes to track, from pots thrown to what glaze combos are most popular, and what systems I uses to inform my business decisions on regular basis. I've been selling my work to the public for 8 years and data is crucial to making my business sustainable for the long term. |
Pottery Classes/Workshops
Soda Firing Workshop
I'll be hosting future Soda Firing Workshops at my home studio in Northern KY soon. I want to give folks access to the soda firing process who may not have experienced it before while building connections with fellow ceramic artists. Attendees will bring 6-8 bisque pots that can fire to cone 5-7 and multiple studio glazes/slips will be provided or you can bring your own. Attendees are expected to participate in the full 2.5 day experience of glazing/wadding, loading, firing, unloading, and tidying up the kiln area/studio for the next firing. Some meals will be provided. The next workshop will be announced soon for early 2025. |
"Throwing Oil Bottles" Virtual Workshop
Oil bottles are a great example of a form I enjoy throwing with general guidelines, but no two are identical (siblings not twins). Throwing bottles to store olive oil, vinegar, dressings, or even dish soap to wash your pots and pans are an amazing form to throw if you can get the hang of it. You’ll be frustrated early on, but customers will reward you if you figure them out. I teach you common issues I've faced after making hundreds, maybe thousands of them: how to properly fit a pourer spout, preventing leakage, shapes that work best, collaring techniques, and general throwing tips for making them efficiently. This is a previously recorded workshop. You will have access to the recording of this workshop for 90 days. |
